Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse (RN) to join our supportive and growing Non-Invasive Cardiology Department. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in a collaborative ambulatory setting without the demands of invasive procedures, overnight shifts, or on-call responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

As a Cardiology Nurse, you will:

  • Assist cardiologists in delivering exceptional outpatient cardiac care
  • Assess patients, obtain histories, and monitor vital signs
  • Educate patients regarding heart disease, medications, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
  • Coordinate care, prescription refills, referrals, and follow-up appointments
  • Review diagnostic testing and communicate patient needs to providers
  • Support chronic disease management and preventive cardiovascular care
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the EMR

Requirements

Current New York State RN License

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in one or more of the following:

  • Cardiology
  • Telemetry
  • Cardiac Step-Down
  • ICU/CCU
    Internal Medicine with a strong cardiac focus

BLS Certification required
Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills
Outpatient cardiology experience preferred
