Position Overview

The Jamaica Hospital Nursing Home, a 228-bed Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation Center serving Queens since 1975, is seeking an experienced Nurse Care Coordinator to join its nursing leadership team.

This role functions as a key clinical supervisor responsible for coordinating nursing operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring high-quality, compliant resident care across all units.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure quality resident care
• Support DON/ADON and nursing leadership with daily operations
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing personnel
• Assist with staffing coordination and scheduling oversight
• Conduct competency evaluations and support staff education
• Promote effective communication across departments
• Participate in committees to improve clinical and operational performance
• Maintain strong relationships with residents and families
