Do you enjoy working closely with patients and dental professionals in a fast-paced, hands-on environment? Join Jamaica Hospital Medical Center’s Department of Dental Medicine, where you’ll provide critical support to dentists and help deliver high-quality care to children, adults, and patients with special needs across Queens.

What You’ll Do
As a valued Dental Assistant, you will:

  • Partner with dentists, Lead Assistants, and Office Managers to deliver seamless patient care
  • Greet, seat, and drape patients professionally
  • Assist during procedures including preventive, restorative, and surgical treatments
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following strict safety protocols
  • Set up trays, mix dental materials, and take X-rays
  • Maintain dental equipment and manage inventory

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Dental Assistant certificate program completion highly preferred
  • 3+ years of general dental assisting experience preferred (motivated new grads considered)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and office procedures
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
