CLINICAL NURSE LEADER – CANCER CENTER
Full-Time | Jamaica Hospital Medical Center | Queens, NY
Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 per year

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, in partnership with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) to join our Cancer Center. As an advanced generalist nurse, the CNL plays a pivotal role in coordinating care, implementing evidence-based practices, mentoring staff, and improving patient outcomes for oncology patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, ensuring seamless patient experiences.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to enhance safety, quality, and patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting care plans accordingly.
  • Lead risk management initiatives, promoting a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
  • Educate and mentor nursing staff, serving as a clinical resource and guide.
  • Advocate for patients, ensuring their needs, preferences, and voices are central to care planning.
  • Analyze healthcare systems and processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in oncology and healthcare best practices.

Requirements
  • BSN required; MSN or advanced nursing degree preferred
  • Current NY State RN License
  • Minimum 3–5 years of oncology nursing experience; leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong skills in clinical coordination, quality improvement, and patient advocacy
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities
  •  Familiarity with EMR systems and oncology care documentation
