The Division of Newborn Medicine / Department of Pediatrics currently seek experienced (Neonatal APN) (Neonatal Nurse Practitioner)  for immediate full-time opportunity.

Attend all high-risk vaginal deliveries and all C-section deliveries. Manage the health care of all infants admitted to the NICU, CCN and SDU. Assist the neonatologist in the care of sick infants. Monitor the progress of the infant’s health. Monitor equipment such as ventilators and incubators Prescribe medication with the agreement of the NICU physician. Adjust the treatment plan in collaboration with the neonatologist. Assist the neonatologist in the insertion of chest tubes, performing exchange transfusion and endotracheal intubation.  Perform daily and sign-out rounds with the neonatal team. Coordinate the care of all infants with the different disciplines .Manage the discharges in the NICU .Educate and support parents and guardians in the care of their newborn infants.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; M.S. in Nursing required
  • Minimum of two years in high risk neonatal care experience required
  • EMR/EPIC Experience is a plus
  • Must be proficient in performing neonatal resuscitation.
  • Possess excellent clinical skills and a commitment to patient safety.
  • Proficient in the insertion of peripheral and central venous catheters, and venous/arterial blood sampling.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

SALARY:   $143,273.00/yr.    Plus, differentials and full 1199 Union Benefits.
