AMBULATORY CARE REPRESENTATIVE – ENY

The Medisys Family Care Center located at 3080 Atlantic Avenue Brooklyn, NY is a state-of-the-art clinic offering a wide range of services including Family Medicine, Podiatry, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dental, Pulmonary Medicine and Dermatology.  Since 1996, our committed and dedicated staff, have provided community residents in East New York with the very best medical treatment and care.     We are presently seeking similarly minded passionate Ambulatory Care Representatives with strong patient / customer service experience for immediate full-time positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As an Ambulatory Care Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients seeking care in our facility. Responsible for greeting patients/family, scheduling patient appointments, scheduling hospital and ambulatory admissions/procedures.

SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Utilizing EPIC electronic appointment system to schedule and review appointments, verify/update insurance and patient demographics and perform patient registration (check-in check-out process).
• Greeting and screening patients.
• Collecting clinic/insurance payments and dispersing carfare.
• Providing coordination of services to address patient needs related to benefits, finance and other services.
• Answering phones and addressing patient/caller inquiries
• General clerical support i.e faxing, scanning, sorting mail etc.
