Work Schedule: Full Time Days

The Nursing Administration Department at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Coordinator to join our team.

The Coordinator, reports directly to the Director of Nursing, is primarily responsible for managing initiatives for the Nursing Department. This includes coordinating, supervising, and completing special projects and events.

The Coordinator plays a crucial role in the department’s quality improvement initiatives, assisting through effective data management and interpretation.

DUTIES:

Assist and provide administrative and clerical task to support daily practice operations..
Manage and route incoming calls.
Provide calendar management for director and coordinators.
Prepare and assist in creation of PowerPoint presentations.
Transcribe meeting minutes.
Collect and verify the necessary purchasing documents required for review by the director, prior to the presentation to EVP& CFO for final approval.
Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with physicians, nurses, and office staff.
Participate in the research and review process of equipment purchases.
Electronically file all documents received regarding the purchase, service and repair of all medical equipment.
Scan, copy and fax needed documents.
Greet all visitors, vendor representatives.
Keep staff attendance records.
Handle all administrative issues.
Order equipment, services, and supplies.
Monitor invoices for accuracy and timely payment.

Requirements
Must have advanced computer and word processing skills. Competency and knowledge of computer-based scheduling, appointment programs or EPIC EHR system. Able to complete multiple tasks efficiently and promptly. Coordinator will use software applications to design interventions, support teams in carrying them out, and capture data to support workflows and measure improvement. High level of accuracy and precision in data entry and data validation. Excellent organizational skills to manage large volumes of data. Performs research for special projects as assigned by the Director of Nursing. Excellent Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Minimum H.S. / GED required. Associate or higher degree preferred
