Medical Scribe – Part-Time

Experienced Medical Scribes

Part-Time | 25 Hours/Week

Schedule: Flexible Based on Physician Schedules Availability Requirement: Must be available to work weekday shifts (Monday-Friday).
Pay: $20+/Hour, Based on Experience

This position requires regular weekday availability (Monday-Friday). Applicants whose availability is limited to weekends, late evenings, or occasional shifts are unlikely to be a match for this role

If you’re an experienced Medical Scribe who can keep pace with physicians, capture the clinical encounter accurately, and document efficiently in the EHR, Jamaica Hospital Medical Center wants to hear from you.

We’re seeking experienced Medical Scribes to support physicians across multiple specialties in a fast-paced clinical environment.

This opportunity requires at least 1 year of current or recent medical scribing experience and is not intended as an entry-level scribe position.

What You’ll Do

  • Document patient histories, symptoms, diagnoses, procedures, examinations, and treatment plans in real time
  • Accurately enter physician documentation into the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Capture physical examination findings and other relevant clinical information
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and organization
  • Keep pace with physicians while maintaining accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 1 year of current or recent experience working specifically as a Medical Scribe
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Hands-on experience documenting physician-patient encounters in an EHR
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate, timely documentation in a busy clinical environment
