MEDICAL SCRIBE – PART-TIME
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking experienced Medical Scribes for immediate part-time opportunities (25 hours/week) across various specialties. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent medical scribing experience and be proficient in documenting real-time patient encounters to support physician efficiency. Work hours may vary based on physician schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately document patient history, symptoms, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans during provider-patient encounters.
  • Transcribe physician dictation and input data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Chart physical exam findings, including vital signs and physician observations.
  • Assist in organizing and assembling medical documentation for review.
  • Gather and update patient medical history, exam details, and test results.
  • Identify and correct documentation errors to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments and retrieve medical records as needed.

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of recent medical scribing experience (required).
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

Compensation:

Salary:  $21/hr. – $23/hr.
