WOUND CARE NURSE (RN) – Full Time

Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Location: Jamaica Hospital Medical Center

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN) with current wound care certification (WCC, CWCN, CWOCN, or equivalent) to join our busy inpatient Wound Care & Pressure Injury Reduction Program.
The Wound Care Services RN plays a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based wound care that ensures the safety and well-being of all patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily clinical operations within the Wound Care/Pressure Reduction Program.
  • Manage nursing and technical care for patients receiving wound treatment.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed.
  • Maintain and uphold standards of professional nursing practice.
  • Promote the use of wound-care and clinical practice guidelines across all professional levels.
  • Prioritize and triage resources to ensure timely, high-quality care delivery.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and respond promptly to internal care requests.

Requirements
  • Active New York State RN license (BSN strongly preferred)
  • Formal wound-care certification (CWCN, WCC, CWS, or equivalent)
  • 1–2 years of acute-care or medical-surgical RN experience.
  • Previous wound-care and/or ostomy-care experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Current BLS certification and ongoing CEs in wound care
