DEPARTMENT: TRUMP 

Trump Pavilion for Nursing and Rehabilitation is a 228-bed state-of-the-art Rehabilitation and Long Term facility. We offer comprehensive services for short-term care, including rehabilitative, medical, and social services. From its onset, Trump Pavilion has built a reputation on quality and continues today to be one of the finest nursing and rehabilitation centers in Queens. We are currently seeking an experienced Ward Clerk for an immediate full-time day shift opportunity.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Ward Clerk, you will be responsible for the daily clerical and reception duties on a nursing unit. Assisting staff nurses and Nursing Care Coordinator with various clerical functions.   Additional duties will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining systems and procedures for ensuring appropriate supply inventory and equipment on Nursing Unit.
  • Acting and serving as a liaison between Nursing Unit and other departments.
  • Managing, marinating, and updating the patient lists, files and charts.
  • Assembling inactive medical records.
  • Completing forms, requisitions, and necessary communications to implement physician orders.
  • Providing clerical/computer-assisted support in the development and maintenance of the MDS Comprehensive Care Plan.
Requirements
  • High School or general education diploma. One to two years college preferred
  • Must have minimum (3) years current or recent Unit Clerk experience in LTC setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with subordinates, department heads, nursing staff, and residents.
  • Familiar with medical terminology and with material and equipment utilized in resident care.

  • Effectively problem solves and makes adjustments when necessary while continuing to adhere  to policy and procedure guidelines
