SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – PER DIEM $70/hr.

PER DIEM WEEKEND COVERAGE         RATE: $73/hr.

The Speech-Language Department in the Medisys network is seeking per diem weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities will include predominantly bedside swallowing evaluations, follow up for diet tolerance on the Rehabilitation unit and on medical floors. Experience in dysphagia evaluation and management is required. The candidate must also have excellent communication skills and be able to professionally convey recommendations for diet and feeding to Physicians, Nursing and ancillary staff. The candidate must be reliable, have excellent time management skills and be proficient and concise in documentation. The candidate must have a stable personality and the ability to share knowledge in a constructive and non-critical manner. Sensitivity to the individual needs of patients is a must and behavior must be consistent with the American Speech and Hearing code of ethics. Experience in EMR is a plus.
