AMBULATORY INFUSION THERAPY

MONDAY – FRIDAY 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM           

At Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, our cancer treatment unit provides professional consultation and treatment services for outpatients. Our Ambulatory chemotherapy unit is staffed by a team of compassionate and specially trained nurses, who are experts in the administration of drugs, chemotherapy, and blood products. We are currently seeking an experienced Chemotherapy Infusion RN for an immediate full-time and per diem opportunities in our Ambulatory Infusion Therapy Center. 

 Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of current/recent Critical Care, Telemetry, or Medical Surgical experience.  As an Infusion Nurse, you will be an integral member of our healthcare team. Regularly collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure treatments used are best suited to the needs of patients. Other duties will include:

  • Ensuring patient safety and quality infusion care.
  • Performing therapeutic phlebotomy procedures and placement of peripheral IV catheters and accessing the mediports.
  • Acting and serving as a patient education resource.

Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program – BSN preferred
  • NY State RN License required
  • Candidates with Chemotherapy Certification are highly desired.
  • Must have 1-2 years’ Critical Care, Telemetry, or Medical Surgical experience
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Must have strong assessment skills and the ability to work in high-stress situations
