Flushing Hospital

  • Registered dietitian will provide exceptional medical nutrition therapy to patients in the behavioral health, med surg, ICU and/or cardiac units;  
  • Registered dietitian will be well versed in the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification;
  • work every 4th weekend and rotating holidays providing hospital-wide coverage
  • be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient care
  • Efficiently and effectively, organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities. 
Requirements

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice (dietetic internship) as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and/or will become registered within 120 days of hire. 
  • NY State Certification – Certified Dietitian- Nutritionist or eligible
  • Active Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Member preferred
