Ambulance Transportation Specialist!
Location: Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, MediSys Health Network, Queens, NY
Position Type: Per Diem / On-Call / Full-Time

Rate:  $22.64/hr.

MediSys Jamaica Hospital operates one of NYC’s largest hospital-based ambulance services. Our team is dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate patient transport across the MediSys network. Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled EMT — Ambulance Transportation Specialist to ensure the safe and efficient transport of patients. This role focuses on patient safety, comfort, and monitoring during transport, supporting paramedics when needed, and maintaining the readiness of our state-of-the-art ambulances.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate MediSys ambulance vehicles safely and efficiently in all conditions
  • Load, unload, and secure patients on stretchers or transport equipment
  • Monitor patient condition during transit and communicate any changes to medical staff
  • Assist paramedics with patient care as needed, particularly for non-critical patients
  • Maintain ambulance cleanliness, inventory, and compliance with DOH regulations
  • Accurately complete all transport documentation

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current New York State EMT-B certification (or higher)
  • Valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to drive safely in adverse weather and traffic conditions
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving patients safely
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and reliability skills
  • Commitment to patient safety and comfort
