Jamaica Hospital’s Department of Ambulatory Care offers a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services in an outpatient setting. With a main campus location and nine moderns, fully equipped medical centers across Queens and East New York, we are dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.

We are currently seeking experienced BSN-level Registered Nurses to join our Women’s Health Service and Family Health Centers for full-time clinical opportunities within the Queens/Brooklyn Medisys network.

Position Overview
As an Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide patient-centered care in a non-hospital setting, focusing on preventive health, chronic condition management, and routine medical procedures. This role requires strong clinical skills, patient education expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Assessment.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate health conditions and care needs.
• Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Administer medications (oral, injectable, and IV therapy) as prescribed.
• Provide patient education on conditions, treatment plans, and self-care management.
• Assist with pain management and monitor responses to pain medications.
• Perform wound care and assess for signs of infection.
• Conduct blood draws for laboratory testing.

Clinical Support & Procedures

• Assist physicians with examinations, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic tests.
• Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and report changes in condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation.
• Assist with triage to determine care priorities.
