BRADY RESIDENCE                                             

 Jamaica Hospital Medical Center’s Individual Residential Alternative is a six-bed Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA)   for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Operated under the regulatory guidance of the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), our IRA staff focus on promoting independence and preparing adults with developmental disabilities to become productive members of their communities.

We are currently seeking an experienced IRA Program Coordinator for an immediate full-time opportunity in our IRA Unit. As Coordinator, you will operationally ensure the safety and welfare of persons residing in our IRA. Providing supervision and training to the residential Direct Care workers,

DUTIES:  

  • Assisting Program Director in the coordination and daily operation of the program.
  • Providing ongoing Protective oversight to the individuals living in the residence.
  • Reporting all suspected instances of abuse/neglect to the supervisor immediately.
  • Assisting in developing individualized resident service plans, and facilitating the resident achievement of valued outcomes.
  • Supervising and reviewing appropriate documentation of goals, datasheets, medication administration, recreational activities, incidents, assignments sheets, and all other pertinent information.
  • Participating in ISP meetings and OMRDD surveys.
  • When necessary, performing direct care duties, including ADL and AMAP duties.
  • Completing staff performance evaluations.
  • Identifying staff in-service training needs and coordinating the delivery training sessions.
  • Managing household expenses and staffing expenditures.
  • Serving as a liaison between the residential staff and the program director.

    

Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma Required.
  • Good Written and Communication Skills.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • SCIP, AMAP  a plus.

SALARY: $50K
