PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

UROLOGY DEPARTMENT

MONDAY – FRIDAY 8 AM – 5 PM

TJH Medical Services, PC a multi-specialty Physician Practice with 30 locations, offers a full range of medical, diagnostic, and surgical services. The Division of Urology provides treatment for a wide range of common to complex urological conditions. Our team of experienced, Board-Certified urology specialists utilize the latest surgical and non-surgical techniques and interventions to expertly treat and care for patients. We are currently seeking experienced Physician Assistants to join our Urology team.

DUTIES:

As a Physician Assistant in our General Surgery Department, you will manage all aspects of care for the Urology service, including medicine, pre-op, post-op and discharge responsibilities. We are looking for a leader, capable of providing high quality innovative care to patients and their families. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations.
  • Evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and managing treatment plans
  • Ordering and interpreting lab tests
  • Counseling patients
  • Performing various medical procedures and assisting in surgical operations
  • Conferring with attending physicians, residents and other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree, required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant by the New York State Department of Education, required.
  • Current NCCPA Certification required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

 

SALARY:  125k-132k DOE Full Benefits & PTO
