PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT – UROLOGY

The Division of Urology at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center provides treatment for a wide range of common to complex urological conditions. Our team of experienced, Board Certified urology specialists utilize the latest surgical and non-surgical techniques and interventions to expertly treat and care for more patients. We are currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Urology division/team.

DUTIES:

As a Physician Assistant in our General Surgery Department, you will manage all aspects of care for the Urology service, including medicine, pre-op, post-op, and discharge responsibilities. We are looking for a leader, capable of providing high-quality innovative care to patients and their families. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and managing treatment plans
• Ordering and interpreting lab tests
• Counseling patients
• Performing various medical procedures and assisting in surgical operations
• Conferring with attending physicians, residents and other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
