Jamaica Hospital has an exciting career opportunity for a Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator who will work under the direction of the Director of Performance Improvement to develop, plan, organize, direct, and lead the hospital’s Performance Improvement Program.

The PI Coordinator will have a detailed understanding of the concepts of performance improvement system design, outcomes measurement, and statistical analysis. The PI Coordinator is responsible for conformance to regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and the JHMC Hospital policies and the organization's P.I. program.

He/she will assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA). The coordinator must have strong project management skills and be able to develop reports and manage data.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • 3-5 years healthcare experience including general knowledge of Performance Improvement activities
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
  • Current NYS license is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Strong knowledge in the application of Performance Improvement methodologies
