Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404-bed fully accredited Community Based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. Regarded as a leading hospital in Queens, New York, we offer a wide variety of patient-centered, expert care to a large and diverse community. We are currently seeking a F/T Recruiter for our Talent Acquisition Department.

Our ideal candidate will be a creative, sales savvy, team-oriented Recruiter with solid recruiting experience preferably in a Health care environment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Utilizing cost-effective strategies to source, manage, and recruit a diverse pipeline of both union and non-union candidates.
  • Effectively partnering with hiring managers to understand business needs and assess position goals and requirements.
  • Assisting in creating and developing recruiting job postings and advertisements.
  • Engaging with hiring managers and business partners to effect and coordinate the interview process.
  • Extending candidate job offers and negotiating non-union salaries.

Participating in ongoing development and implementation or recruitment initiatives to ensure

Requirements
  • BS/BA in Business administration or relevant field
  • 3 – 5 years full-cycle recruiting experience preferably in a high volume health care unionized setting preferred.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Must be adept in internet and sourcing techniques
  • Solid business acumen
  • Knowledge of MS Office;
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
