GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR

DEPARTMENT: GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION      

SALARY: 25.64 /HOUR

 The MediSys Health Network and its member hospitals, Flushing Hospital Medical Center and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center are teaching facilities. We are dedicated to continuing education and research; and our various Graduate Medical Education programs provide and support scholarly activity. We are currently seeking a GME Coordinator for an immediate full-time career opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Within this important and highly visible role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the daily administration of our residency training program.  Other duties will include:

DUTIES:

• Providing administrative supervision and support to residents, interns, and fellows.
• Effectively supporting and assisting the Manager and Director of Academic Affairs & DIO with the development and implementation of program regulatory and accreditation standards, curriculum activities, departmental policies, and recruitment strategies.
• Functioning as a liaison between Residents, Attending Physicians, Administration, internal Departments, and outside institutions.
• Coordinating on-boarding activities and processes for House Staff.
• Updating and managing filling and recordkeeping systems.
• Recording and taking minutes at GME related meetings.
• Distributing, collecting, and processing Medical Student evaluations.
• Inputting and updating resident databases.
