Assists with the monitoring of storeroom inventory management activities including receiving, perpetual inventories, replenishment, cycle counting, and PAR management. Responsible for planning, safety, quality, and operational efficiencies in compliance with strategy and continuous improvement opportunities.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

· Responsible for inventory control, including oversite and conducting the year-end inventory for consumable supplies.

· Responsible for any distribution logistics both inside and outside of the hospital, including off-site facility deliveries.

· Ensure that loading activities are monitored appropriately by storeroom staff, so that customers desiring special loading (e.g., on pallets and wrapped with shrink wrap) have their orders delivered as requested.

· Track productivity levels of PAR areas material handler staff and act as customer service liaison to end user departments.

· Monitor stocking and replenishment by reviewing product waste figures to ensure proper product rotation and par levels.

· Review that staff are processing all transactions in a timely manner and with the correct equipment so that accurate information is used for month end and invoicing.

· Monitor delivery problems to ensure that loading schedule requirements, will calls and high priority deliveries are being met by storeroom loading personnel.

· Review and evaluate the cause of misshipments; coordinate resolution for occurrence(s) and root cause.

· Generate reports from the materials management system and other programs to ensure proper storeroom inventory.

· Master principles for inventory management, stocking, receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping material.

· Deep understanding of receiving, inventory management, and distribution leading practices.

· Complete routine logistics transactions effectively, efficiently, and accurately from order to stocking/ replenishment and distribution, in a fast-paced environment.

· Responsible for staff scheduling in Kronos

Requirements

Education and Technical Skills Required:

· College Degree – Associate Level minimum.

· Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

· Inventory Management experience preferred.

· Knowledge of medical surgical supplies.

· Knowledge of staff scheduling, Kronos experience a plus.
