Jamaica Hospital Medical Center’s Radiology Department offers a wide variety of state-of-the-art diagnostic and specialty services performed by over 16 Board Certified and sub-specialty trained radiologists, supported by highly trained and experienced technologists.  We are currently seeking an experienced Mammography Supervisor for an  immediate full-time day shift.  Supervisor will  oversee daily radiology department staff and operations.

DUTIES: 

  • Oversee daily operations of Mammography department to ensure efficient delivery of diagnostic services.
  • Working with patients to resolve issues, ensure proper flow and enhance patient experience.
  • Regularly reviewing departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with JACHO, NYCDOH, HIPPA, ACR, MQSA/FDA and OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of radiology activities.
  • Adhering to and enforcing Personnel/Administrative policies.
  • Coordinating and managing daily work assignments and staffing levels to ensure optimal   patients/ procedures ratios.
  • Assisting Director with annual budget preparation process.
  • Facilitating the development and maintenance of the department’s PI program.
  • Floats between departments as needed to optimize throughput.
  • Assist with selection, disciplinary action, and assessment of staff within the Women’s Imaging department.
  • Completes annual performance appraisals and quarterly coaching plans for Women’s Imaging team members.
  • Assist with performance of procedures as needed.
  • Ensures availability to operational equipment; monitors and notifies service engineers of needed or anticipated repairs/maintenance.

Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Certification by ARRT in Mammography.
  • NY State licensure required.
  • Proficiency in operating mammography equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of breast imaging anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as a Mammography Technologist.
  • Familiarity with PACS systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for mammography services.
  • Knowledge of MQSA and ACR requirements and experience with inspections
