LAUNDRY & LINEN SUPERVISOR  

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks an experienced Laundry & Linen Supervisor for an immediate full-time day shift opportunity.   Our ideal candidate will have current or recent hospital/hospitality supervisory experience and knowledge of institutional laundry operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Supervisor will be responsible for the proper handling, storage, transport, and delivery of hospital linen. Closely monitoring linen inventory. Training laundry aide staff in proper handling techniques and storage of linens. Recording all data required to track linen usage. Keeping accurate cart tallies

Requirements

TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST HAVE.

  • 1-year supervisory experience in a hospital, hotel  or similar hospitality setting.
  • Must have minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • Knowledge of healthcare linen operations is a plus.
  • Computer skills are required. Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective oral and written English communication skills. 
  • Able to safely perform duties using related commercial laundry equipment and materials such as washers, dryers, irons,
  • MUST be available to work alternate weekends and holidays.
