Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a 402-bed community teaching hospital in Queens, NY, is seeking skilled Ultrasound Technologists with RDMS certification and 2-5 years of hospital experience to join our team.

Job Description:
• Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound exams, verifying their identity according to departmental procedures.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform exams under physician supervision, adjusting scanning techniques to optimize image quality.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and provide instructions.
• Analyze sonographic findings and provide a summary of preliminary results to the radiologist.
• Perform exam measurements and calculations according to ACR protocols and guidelines.
• Notify healthcare providers when immediate medical attention is required.
• Ensure the availability of necessary supplies and report equipment malfunctions to the department supervisor.
• Assist in orienting and mentoring new ultrasound personnel.
