Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community-based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off-campus, ambulatory surgery, and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services.

Our Radiology Department offers a wide variety of state-of-the-art diagnostic and specialty services including ultrasound, mammography, MRI, diagnostic radiology, fluoroscopic procedures, and much more. We are recognized as a premier provider of clinical imaging and our goal is to offer the best diagnostic medical imaging for a variety of health conditions.

We are currently seeking experienced Cat Scan Technologists for immediate Full-time, & Part Time.

  • Overnights: Sunday to Thursday
  • Overnights: Tuesday to Saturday
  • Days: Tuesday to Saturday 730a-4pm
  • Evenings: Tuesday to Saturday
  • Weekend days 730a-4pm
  • Weekend Evenings 330p-12a.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain CT scanners, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and address concerns.
  • Administer contrast materials as required (contrast dye certification required).
  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure image clarity by adjusting scanner settings and following physician instructions.
  • Monitor patients throughout scans, prioritizing safety and comfort.
  • Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including scan data and procedure details.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • New York State license in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT certification in CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Experience in diagnostic imaging and CT procedures preferred.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Contrast dye injection certification required ($2.00/hour differential for regular contrast dye procedures). Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EPIC) is a plus. Strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As part of our commitment to recognizing the specialized skills of our team, we are excited to announce a 10% differential for evening shifts! Additionally, for those CAT Scan Technologists who perform contrast dye injections, a $2.00 differential will be provided. Please note that this differential will be entered as certified pay and will not be included in your base rate.
