Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, currently seeks experienced Assistant Director of Pharmacy Purchasing and Inventory Control.
The Assistant Director of Pharmacy Purchasing and Inventory Control postion is focused on Purchasing and Inventory Control and includes responsibility for all drug procurement/dispensing/distribution, profiling and record keeping of medications; dissemination of drug information to other members of the health-care team and to patients to ensure optimum patient care. Responsibilities include Purchasing and Inventory Control, coordination of purchasing programs including wholesaler and direct purchasing, Controlled Drug management, 340B program management, overall medication procurement and storage, and maintenance of appropriate records.

Requirements

Required Education Must be a graduate of an approved five/six year college of pharmacy, registered as a licensed pharmacist in the State of New York, and be of reputable character. An advanced degree in pharmacy is preferred. Required Skills and /or Experience 3-5 years experience in a hospital pharmacy in a supervisory capacity, with a background in Purchasing and Inventory Control. Experience in 340 B Program management desired. Required Licenses/Certifications Must be licensed as a pharmacist in the State of New York and maintain current registration Job Hazards / Physical Demands Must be in good physical health.
