JAMAICA HOSPITAL MEDICAL CENTER, a major health care facility located in Queens, N.Y. is seeking Accountant for our General Accounting department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform assigned accounting functions, complete assigned reports and analysis and provide accurate and timely information for review.
• Responsible for preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Responsible for tracking of fixed assets, construction in progress and capital leases.
• Responsible for tracking prepaid assets.
• Create and analyze supporting schedules and general ledger accounts for monthly and year end closing.
• Perform varying account analysis and work papers.
• Completes special projects as necessary.
• Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested.
