Accountant

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks Staff Accountant for immediate full-time opportunity in our General Accounting Department

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform assigned accounting functions, complete assigned reports and analysis and provide accurate and timely information for review.
Responsible for preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Responsible for tracking of fixed assets, construction in progress and capital leases.
Responsible for tracking prepaid assets.
Create and analyze supporting schedules and general ledger accounts for monthly and year end closing.
Perform varying account analysis and work papers.
Completes special projects as necessary.
Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested.
