Ambulatory Care Representative- EAST NY DTC-MEDICAL

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off-campus, ambulatory surgery and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services.. We are searching for an Ambulatory Care Representative with strong patient / customer service experience for immediate full-time opportunity .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Ambulatory Care Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients seeking care in our facility. Responsible for greeting patients/family, scheduling patient appointments, scheduling hospital, and ambulatory admissions/procedures.
SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

Expediting patient registration check-in and check-out process
Greeting and screening patients.
Utilizing EPIC electronic appointment system to schedule and review appointments, insurance and appointment history.
Collecting payments and dispersing carfare and serves as the clinic liaison.
Answering phones and addressing patient/caller inquiries
