Jamaica Hospital has a career opportunity for a Director of Person Centered Services in our Nursing Education department. The Director of Person Centered Services, in collaboration with the Chief Quality Officer, is responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting a culture of person centered care across the facility which emphasizes outstanding service and compassion.

The Director works with all hospital departments and leaders to transform the experience of patients and families utilizing performance improvement strategies and tactics, as well as patient and employee engagement strategies.

The Director is responsible for implementing point of service patient relations and advocacy programs that function as a liaison between the patient /family to resolve perceived problems and complaints for the benefit of both the patient and the hospital including service recovery initiatives.

He/she collects, analyzes, presents data and oversees corrective action/performance improvement plans related to HCAHPS metrics and overall patient satisfaction.

The Director Leads and/or participates in patient experience and staff engagement related meetings and activities.

Requirements
Required Education/Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business or related field. Master’s and Doctoral Degrees preferred Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) preferred For licensed personnel, current NYS license is required Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, Microsoft Excel and Access. Ability to effectively lead and facilitate meetings Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
