ASSISTANT HEAD NURSE –  SURGICAL NS – 3  NORTH

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community-based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off campus, ambulatory surgery, and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services. We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Head Nurse for our Emergency Room Nursing Unit.

DUTIES

• As Assistant Head Nurse you will provide operational and administrative support to the unit Nurse Manager.
• Recruiting and training staff.
• Assigning unit nursing tasks.
• Coordinating and making shift assignments.
• Monitoring and assessing unit staff performance.
• Providing hands-on technical assistance, leadership, and support for nursing staff.
