Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a proud member of the Medisys Health Network, is a 384-bed fully accredited community-based teaching hospital and a Level I Trauma and Stroke Center.
We are currently seeking Patient Escorts for immediate part-time assignments in our ER/Patient Escort Department to support patient transportation and assist with essential patient care needs.
Position Overview
As an ER Patient Escort, you will play a vital role in safely and efficiently transporting patients throughout the hospital while ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced emergency care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safely escort patients to and from various hospital areas, including exam rooms, labs, radiology, and treatment areas.
Use wheelchairs, stretchers, and hydraulic stretchers to transport patients efficiently.
Assist patients with transferring between beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
Transport medical equipment, lab samples, and other necessary materials as needed.
