Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation Unit
 Full-Time | Day Shift

Make a lasting impact by helping patients regain independence and rebuild their lives after illness, injury, or surgery.

At Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, our Rehabilitation Unit is dedicated to recovery-focused, patient-centered care. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients through their rehabilitation journey.

 What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, surgery, injury, or illness
  • Administer medications, monitor conditions, and manage wounds
  • Support mobility, safety, and daily living activities (ADLs)
  • Reinforce therapy plans alongside PT/OT/Speech teams
  • Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge care
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team

Requirements
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 1–2 years of acute care or rehabilitation nursing experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS preferred
  • Strong patient education and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-based, recovery-focused environment
