Health Information Management Clerk – TJH Services

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is looking for an Health information management clerk (HIM) for our TJH Health Services Department. 

The HIM clerk will review patient records for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. HIM clerk will be responisble for entering large amounts of patient data and ensure patient data is stored in the electronic databases correctly. They may also be asked to retrieve patient data for doctors, nurses, therapists and other medical professionals from a secured electronic database.

HIM clerks may work to resolve insurance and billing issues before they get out of hand. This is usually done by contacting insurance companies to verify benefits.
