Requirements
PA Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited (Accreditation Review Committee for Physician Assistant Programs (ARC-PA) program, required.
- A licensed Physician Assistant by the New York State Department of Education is required.
- Minimum of 2 years acute Critical Care (MICU, SICU) experience preferred but not required.
- Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), is required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, required.
NP Requirements:
- Current NYS Nurse Practitioner License (master’s degree-Advanced practice)
- Must have Minimum of 2 years acute Critical Care (MICU, SICU) experience required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification, required.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with prescription privileges and DEA certification
