  • Utilizing computerized switchboard console to answer and route high volume incoming phone calls.
  • Operating hospital paging and intercom systems to communicate with medical staff during facility emergencies. 
  • Arranges for appropriate emergency services within the hospital by paging relevant medical staff members as dictated by the hospital policy and procedure 
  • Performing emergency procedures during "Stat Calls" for medical emergencies (team 7000), crisis team, fire and emergency preparedness notification and distribute calls to the right personnel to ensure quick and prompt responses 
  • Handling complaints over the telephone and ensuring that they are escalated to the appropriate concerned personnel 
  • Handling large volumes of incoming calls and assists family members in a professional and courteous manner in determining which room their love ones are in and getting call put through 
  •  
Requirements
  • High School or equivalent.
  • Must be great communicator with strong telephone experience and demonstrable customer service skills.
  • Understand the basics of how the telecommunications system works to properly communicate issues that might arise and require maintenance.
