ELECTRICIAN A

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys  Health Network is a 424 bed fully accredited  community based teaching hospital and level I Trauma and Stroke Center .  We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off campus, ambulatory surgery and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services. We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician A  for a full time,  day shift position in our Plant Operations Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of our Lead Electrician selected candidate will operate and maintain hospital emergency power systems. Performing highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting of facility  electrical systems.

• Repairing and installing all types of commercial electrical equipment.
• Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to detect hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure building and safety code compliance.
• Utilizing wiring diagrams, blueprints, and other building specifications to plan and complete repair work orders.
• Participating in group/team cleanups of department areas.  
•  Conducting facility rounds as needed to detect and make adjustments to electrical systems as needed.

Salary Range: $25.21 – $27.37 hrly
