REGISTERED NURSE

The Department of Ambulatory Care at Jamaica Hospital provides patients with a full range of primary and specialty care services in an outpatient setting. The department operates a main on-campus center and 9 other modern and fully equipped medical locations conveniently located throughout Queens and East New York.

We are currently seeking experienced BSN Level Registered Nurses with a minimum of 1 year of outpatient, ambulatory care, or Urgent care experience for immediate full-time clinical opportunities in both our Family Medicine  & Women’s  Health group practices

DUTIES

As an Outpatient Clinic RN, you will work autonomously performing a variety of healthcare duties including:

  • Assessing and evaluating patient care needs of pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement and evaluate the plan of care.
  • Providing patient education.
  • Completing, documenting, and updating electronic medical records.
  • Assisting with the management of urgent and emergent patient care situations.
  • Assisting with managing patients with multiple chronic health conditions, acute episodes of care, and behavioral health challenges.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • BSN Degree
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
  • Current BLS
  • Prior experience working as an RN in a fast-paced Outpatient setting
  • MUST HAVE demonstrated experience working in either Women’s Health or other outpatient setting. 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
