At Jamaica Hospital Medical Center our Cath Lab Nurses are among an unsung elite group of clinical professionals who daily epitomize the core, scope, and essence of what successful Interventional Cardiology should be.  The outstanding individuals who comprise our Cath Lab Nurse Team possess the skills, passion, dedication, and commitment which has been the key to our success.  Due to the ever-increasing need for our services, we are looking for similarly dedicated and committed Cath Lab RN’s to join our Team.

THE CHALLENGE:

As a Cath Lab Nurse at JHMC, you will join and be supported by a team of top tier physicians and RN’s.  Together you will take part and participate in a broad cross-section of interventional procedures.  During such procedures, you will utilize the latest state of the art equipment and devices to circulate, scrub and monitor multiple interventional procedures.  Best of all you will enjoy the immense satisfaction and rewards of saving and extending the lives of patients.

As a vital member of our Cath Lab team, you will assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures, providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Scrub, circulate, and monitor during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Deliver advanced cardiac care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patient treatment plans in the Cath Lab setting
  • Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes following clinical protocols

Requirements
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State
  • Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and cardiac procedures
  • Competency in Cath Lab techniques including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
