X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST

Per Diem Weekends 8am – 4pm

Rate:  $37.48 /hr. – $43.05 /hr.

The Flushing Hospital Department of Radiology offers a wide variety of advanced, state-of-the-art diagnostic and imaging services. Our medical team consists of highly qualified Board Certified and fellowship-trained professionals; and is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology. 

  We are currently seeking experienced Radiology Technologists for immediate weekend per diem opportunities on our Flushing Campus conveniently located at: 4500 Parsons Blvd, Flushing, NY 11355.    

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Position patients for diagnostic imaging examinations 
• Perform radiographic procedures as per protocol to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. 
• Operating and maintaining QA testing on all radiologic equipment to produce body images for diagnostic purposes.

• Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques 
• Communicates effectively with patients/families and all care providers 
• Providing suitable care and monitoring of patients during radiographic examinations. 

• Maintaining radiology supply inventory.  Maintains licensure, certifications and ongoing CEUs for professional development on a timely basis.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with hospital procedures, rules, and regulations. 
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
