TRADES HELPER PLANT OPERATIONS SALARY: $18.48/HR. Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. Our Plant Operations Department offers comprehensive services including a full range of building trades services which are responsible for routine maintenance and minor/major space alterations, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance, locksmith, custodial, moving and setup services. We are currently seeking experienced Trades Helper for immediate full time day shift opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to and under the direct supervision of the Engineering Supervisor selected candidate will:

• Assist Engineering personnel with trade duties including construction, maintenance, refurbishing and installations to maintain hospital property and facility
• Cleaning general engineering areas and campus of debris.
• Repairing and correcting basic building maintenance problems.
• Emptying garbage and keeping engineering areas clean.
• Moving and relocating engineering and hospital equipment as needed.
• Performing other related tasks as needed.
