Patient Care Associates – Multiple Units

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community-based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We are seeking an experienced Patient Care Associate for immediate Full-Time opportunities.  

DUTIES: Under the direct supervision of unit Registered Nurse Staff, selected candidates will assist with the routine care of assigned patients. Typical duties may include but not be limited to:

• Bathing patients
• Changing patients' bed sheets, and pillows, and turning or repositioning patients in their beds
• Helping patients dress or use the bathroom
• Listening to patients' health concerns, recording them, and reporting them to a nurse or physician
• Serving meals to patients and helping them eat
• Measuring patients' vitals, such as temperature and blood pressure
