Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is a patient-focused, not-for-profit, community-based hospital conveniently located off the Van Wyck Expressway in Richmond Hill, Queens. Our hospital facility and associated outpatient clinic sites provide many medical and clinical services to an underserved community. Our Emergency Department includes a Level 1 Trauma Center and is equipped with technology that rivals the nation’s most prestigious healthcare systems.

Our Occupational Health Service (OHS) clinic has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Manager with strong leadership and customer service skills.

What You Will Do:

  • Supervise, monitor, and evaluate performance of all staff; including responsible for equitable scheduling of personnel in the OHS clinics at Jamaica Hospital and Flushing Hospital. Occasional travel to Flushing Hospital required.
  • Manage established department/hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance safety, environmental and infection control.
  • Attend and conduct meetings and participate on committees as directed.
  • Interpret and articulate the philosophy of the Occupational Health Services and the standards of practice to the staff, and to members of other hospital departments as needed.
  • Analyze and evaluate nursing practice, standards of care, and quality of services rendered to patients.
  • Assist with patient care or clinical needs of the patients wherever needed.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • 2+ leadership experience
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • BCLS Certification required.
