Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time | Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Queens, NY

Pay: $32.76–$36.34/hr. DOE

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a 384-bed community teaching hospital, is seeking a dedicated COTA to join our dynamic Occupational Therapy team. Provide personalized, evidence-based therapy to patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or chronic pain conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and rehab settings.

Your Role:

  • Deliver prescribed occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of an OTR
  • Assist with ADL training, adaptive equipment instruction, and home exercise programs
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions to meet individualized goals
  • Support student OTAs through supervision and mentoring
  • Maintain documentation, equipment, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited COTA program with fieldwork completed
  • Current NYS licensure or eligibility as a COTA
  • Strong communication, organizational, and patient-centered care skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 8–14 patients/day
