PHARMACY SUPERVISOR

PHARMACY DEPARTMENT EVENING SHIFT: 3:30PM-12AM.

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, currently seeks experienced Pharmacy Supervisor for immediate full-time opportunity. Selected candidate will coordinate and oversee daily staff activity and assignments of technical and professional staff to ensure efficient functioning of the Department.

DUTIES:

Our ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, autonomous healthcare professional with 3-5 years hospital experience and prior supervisor experience. Principle duties will entail:

Maintaining department medication inventory and supplies
Monitoring and assuring compliance with legal regulations pertaining to department dispensing activities
Purchasing medications from approved vendors per group and individual contracts
Overseeing and maintaining data processing operation involving materials management as it relates to the EPIC pharmacy system
Participating in Performance Improvement Committee and Drug Use Evaluation program
Managing and supervising investigational drug dispensing and record-keeping
Coordinating hospital 340B program drug acquisition, distribution, and record keeping.
Coordinating Pharmacy IV Admixture Services
Assisting in the long-range planning, development and implementation of department policies and procedures
Coordinating Emergency Medication Management system and the Distribution of Controlled Substances.
Providing technical assistance and support for staff regarding professional and clinical matters.
Managing Drug Distribution via the Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinets
Assisting in all aspects of the daily operation, professional, technical, and supportive
