Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking dedicated Housekeeping Workers to join our Environmental Services team. If you take pride in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation of assigned facility areas.
✔ Perform various cleaning tasks, including mopping, buffing floors, sanitizing rooms, and waste disposal.
✔ Properly clean, store, and handle equipment and chemicals.
✔ Follow infection control protocols and use appropriate cleaning agents for each task.
✔ High school diploma or GED required.
✔ Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services (healthcare setting preferred).
✔ Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols.
✔ Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules.
✔ Team player with good communication skills.
✔ Must be available for alternate weekends & holidays.
