IT PROJECT MANAGER

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks an experienced IT Project Manager for an immediate onsite, full-time opportunity. Our ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a thorough understanding of project management principles and planning, and an equally thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices from an Infrastructure and Service Delivery standpoint.  Selected candidate will manage assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to the budget, schedule, and scope of the project.  Additional objectives will include: 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Developing, maintaining, and revising proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
  • Setting and tracking project milestones; managing and accounting for unforeseen delays, and realigning schedule and expectations as needed.
  • Establishing and implementing project communication plans.
  • Providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
  • Leading weekly meetings with stakeholders to follow up on key deliverables.
  • Leading Daily scrums with the Project Team to ensure they are on track.
  • Takes notes and provides continuous follow-ups for meetings.
  • Assigning duties and responsibilities and overseeing workflow of project staff.
  • Overseeing  daily  tasks needed to complete projects and establish priorities
Requirements
  • Must have at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management or equivalent certification, Certification in either PRINCE2, Scrum and PMP.
  • Must have at least five years of experience in management either at a lead or support level
  • Must have a working knowledge of project management tools, processes, framework, and reporting standards
  • Organized with attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with all forms of Project Management, including Agile, Scrum, and waterfall.
  • Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
  • A solid understanding of IT systems, networking, and computer software
  • Leadership skills  and ability to motivate IT staff
  • Logical problem solver who can operate under constraints
