Director of Peri-operative Services

Flushing Hospital provides strategic leadership and oversight to the continuum of Peri-operative services, Anesthesia Tech Services, Endoscopy Services, and Sterile Processing Services to accomplish sustained profitable growth in all areas of responsibility. Develops and implements initiatives to expand and maximize the effectiveness of the Services, including targeted performance improvement initiatives for all areas.•Provide administrative and financial accountability for planning, directing, staffing, coordinating, and controlling functions and activities of all phases of the peri-operative services department. Design, develop, organize, direct, measure and promote peri-operative services programs to the medical staff and community. Manage the overall nursing operations of the operating room in accordance with hospital policies, standards of nursing practices, and governmental regulations, providing excellent care for all peri-operative patients. Lead direct reports and provide accountability for the quality improvement program, credentialing, and medical staff affairs in collaboration with the OR business unit. Implement standards of clinical practice, and evaluate clinical outcomes and maintain patients’ clinical records. Collaborate with the nursing and medical staff leadership structure on issues related to service delivery, technology and equipment, capital planning, revenue generation and enhancement, and all other related administrative matters.
