The Director of Performance Improvement works collaboratively with and reports to the Chief Quality Officer. This role is responsible for all aspects of the creation, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the performance improvement and regulatory readiness programs, data management, reporting responsibilities and related performance improvement activities. The Director works collaboratively with all roles and departments to achieve program goals aligned with the organizations’ values, mission, vision, and strategic objectives. This position will serve as the organization’s principal consultant regarding current and evolving performance improvement practices, reporting mandates and regulatory requirements. This role will support the ongoing development of performance improvement policies, practices, programs and education and development of team members within the department and throughout the organization.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in healthcare related field.
  • For licensed personnel, current NYS license required.
  • 3-5 years of Performance Improvement leadership experience in an acute care setting.
  • Certification in Performance Improvement preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage data, meet reporting deadlines and use performance improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient with multiple software and data bases.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of healthcare team members.
