The Department of Ambulatory Care at Jamaica Hospital provides patients with a wide array of primary and specialty care in an outpatient setting.   Our Medisys Family Care Center located in Ozone Park Queens, is group practice specializing in Family Medicine, Gynecology, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics and Podiatry We are currently seeking experienced compassionate Ambulatory Care  Representative for immediate full time day shift opportunities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As an Ambulatory Care Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients seeking care in our facility. Responsible for greeting patients/family, scheduling patient appointments, scheduling hospital and ambulatory admissions/procedures.

SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Utilizing EPIC electronic appointment system to schedule and review appointments, verify/update insurance and patient demographics and perform patient registration (check-in check-out process).
• Greeting and screening patients.
• Collecting clinic/insurance payments and dispersing carfare.
• Providing coordination of services to address patient needs related to benefits, finance and other services.
• Answering phones and addressing patient/caller inquiries
• General clerical support i.e faxing, scanning, sorting mail etc.
